Parents and students,

We want you to stay informed about the COVID-19 Coronavirus and how Clayton County Public School and Forest Park Middle School are responding to the situation. The district has created a web page specific to this purpose. Please check for updates and additional resources.


Teachers are preparing activities for learning beyond the classroom in case we have to be out of school for extended  periods of time. Each student was given an at-home digital task to complete by Friday, March 13th. We need to know how many and which students do not have access to our digital resources and platforms.  Please ensure that your child has completed this task. Teachers will prepare alternate assignments for these students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school at 770-472-2817 or via email at

Please see the following information regarding nutrition services and update regarding Mobile Food Pantries:

While schools are closed indefinitely, Clayton County Public Schools will serve breakfast and lunch meals at ten (10) preselected sites beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. All meals will be served at all schools on a grab and go basis. Sites selected to participate are Edmonds Elementary, Jackson Elementary, Lake Ridge Elementary, Eddie White Academy, Rex Mill Middle, Kendrick Middle School, North Clayton Middle, Forest Park High, Mundy's Mill High, Riverdale High. Those eligible for this service must be 18 or younger or individuals with a state-defined mental or physical disability.  

Clayton County Public Schools’ willing employees will be utilized for food service on a volunteer basis. Meal service hours are as follows: Breakfast 8:00 am - 9:00 am, Lunch 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

In addition, Mobile Food Pantries will be available to support families on March 20th  at 4:00 p.m at Forest Park Middle School and March 31st at 3:00 p.m. at Riverdale Elementary School.
